This week, Karen takes to the airwaves solo, narrowly avoiding any long rambles in the absence of her co-hosts. The show kicks off with music from Hey Ocean, Parlovr, The Most Loyals and Shout Out Out Out Out, before heading into Chris and Yaz's Kingston food adventure - which happened right here in Ottawa! From there, we enter O-town Hoedown territory with an interview with Lefty McRighty and hear some tunes from Jack Pine and the Fire.

After that? Music from Mother Mother and a surprise PSA from Vincent, who drops by the studio to mention herodads.ca. And then, more music from Hey Ocean, Parlovr and Yukon Blonde.

This week, Karen and Trevor take to the airwaves a little tardily but oh-so-awesomely. They chat with Rolf Klausener and Marlene Power, co-founders of Arboretum music + arts festival, about organizing a boutique event, tasty treats, and who they're most excited to hear tomorrow at the festival. They also chat with Rob Reid, an organizer over at House of Paint, about Ottawa's hip hop history, urban art, and why HoP is one of the most unique festivals to hit this city.

Then? There's Trevor's interview with Danny Michel, who delves into his latest disc. And we play music from Cadence Weapon, who's stopping by Arboretum, Shad, one of House of Paint's Sunday headliners, and the Weather Station, who are playing in Ottawa Saturday night with Bahamas.

This week, Trevor and Jared join forces to bring you a show chock-full of goodness.

First up is an interview with Ian Campeau, who has recently been making headlines with his campaign to change the name of the Nepean Redskins. His stance against the team's name has been churning up no little amount of controversy, and Campeau recently received the support of the Assembly of First Nations.

Next, Zoo Legacy stopped by the studio to perform a rockin' live set, featuring songs from their recently released EP, City Light Glow. The album was released for free on the band's website this past Wednesday, and Zoo Legacy will be throwing a release party at Ritual on Friday night with special guests Fire and Neon and Big Dreams Team.

Finally, Ryan caught up with Folk Festival Artistic Director Mark Monahan in a phone interview. The Folk Fest begins tonight and runs until the 10th, featuring an incredible lineup of acts like Anais Mitchell, Ben Harper, Dan Mangan, Great Lake Swimmers, and more.

With Ryan back from vacation this week, the show takes a turn for the worse, with at least one bad joke about One Direction. It's a music-focused show this week, with chats with both Evening Hymns and Tall Trees. Jared also recorded an interview on the upcoming Creative Mornings lecture.

On this week's show Karen and Ryan seize the podcast reigns back from Jared, making for a show filled with dry humour and raw emotion. We talk to Catherine Landry about her project "Eat Me!" and she happened to be live from the new location of Taco-lot. We chat with Apartment613 Paper Kindle Club alumina Eric Enno Tamm about his book The Horse that Leaps through clouds. Chris and Yaz drop in for a review of the craziest desert to hit Ottawa's restaurant scene - the pop tart.

This week on Apt613 Live, Jared hosts the entire show by himself! We hear interviews with Gerry Paquette (Professor of Game Development at Algonquin) and the guys behind Creative Mornings, a lecture series for those who like to learn while they breakfast. This podcast features music from The Balconies, The Riptides, The Arcade Fire, The Dymaxions, Timekode, Hyfidelik and Prufrock, Ikor Vein and Templedon.
